On Saturday, we went to our very first football (soccer) game here in London—Chelsea vs Everton. Even though we haven’t yet chosen a team to follow, we were cheering for Chelsea (the home team, of course) but the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Nevertheless, we had a great time. It was so much fun to watch as the players move the ball around so fast and all the fans (young to old) were singing cheers. They don’t sell beer during the game (only before the game and at halftime) so fans actually watch the entire game. Hmmm. What a concept. People here LOVE their football. It’s all about the football. Can’t wait to go to another game…maybe when it’s a tad or two warmer.

Hello there, glad to hear how you are doing…yes Football (soccer) is HUGE over there, Whitney would love it!! She is actually taught here in NJ by a bunch of Brits.
What is your address over there? Hope it is warming up a bit, did you get snow? Naomi and Adam got 14 inches in Kent…Adam was stuck on the train for an entire night…yikes! Only to turn around and go back into London to work…sounds wonderful.
Heard about the train fiasco on the news. Looked awful. I’m glad he is ok.
Whitney would love it! Soccer is life.
It sounds like you two truly enjoyed the game! There is nothing like being in the atmosphere- sure beats the couch! I am looking forward to attending a football game with you when I venture across the pond!
Can’t wait, b!
